Ok, Latino hour is over. What was I thinking? There's only so much Santana one can take. As for Gloria Estefan, I switched to Abriendo Puertas for a couple of days before deciding I'd had enough. I did find a fantastic music clip of her and Marc Anthony singing Mi Tierra. For once he didn't look like the night stalker. I could sort of understand why Jennifer Lopez chose him to have babies with, if those were the moves he used.
Anyway, I'm so into Adele right now, whom I discovered through Perez Hilton, when she did a cover of a Strokes song. One link led to another and on her myspace site, I found this amazing song, Chasing Pavements.
It's like a drug. I LOVE this song. The video is a bit morbid yet fanciful, kind of Magritte meets Guy Bourdin meets American Beauty. But the song is mesmerizing, even haunting. And her voice! The pathos, the longing, the soulful wryness... I'm sure this song is on its way to becoming a gay anthem, but it totally appeals to the drama queen in me!
hey there! interesting video. i liked the way they filmed the pavement sequence. visually engaging. voice wise... so-so. i'd take amy winehouse over this one. much fuller voice and original.

amy winehouse's voice is something else I agree, but this adele chick is only 19 apparently and so far doesn't have the same destructive issues as her. time will tell i guess, but so far not a bad debut. maybe she's rohipnol and amy winehouse is like whisky highballs and cocaine speedballs all rolled into one!
